Dear Holy Family community,

We are so blessed in these summer months to be able to regather in person for worship, service, and fellowship!  As the young adult community of the parish, Trinity Ministry sought out creative, intentional ways to stay connected and support one another throughout our days of lockdown and physical distancing.  We adapted our social gatherings to virtual events, offered a variety of online spiritual opportunities, and did our best to stay connected.  We developed our social media presence, sent out mailings of comfort, and did personal check-in’s.

As we’ve all been reminded, though, it’s much better for our wellbeing as disciples of Jesus Christ to be able to pray, share, and give together in person. We can’t wait to journey with young adults and “young-at-heart” friends again without a screen between us!  As of July, we’ve already relaunched our weekly Food & Fellowship dinner outings, celebrated our five-year anniversary as a ministry, sought out new ways to serve, and started a weekly prayer and faith sharing gathering called Young Adult Rosary & Reflection.

Trinity Young Adult Ministry (est. 2016) will continue to help Holy Family be a loving, spiritual home for young adults and young families as we re-emerge stronger as a parish family in the wake of the coronavirus.  We have a deep desire to see everyone in our midst feel welcomed and encouraged in their spiritual journeys, especially after so much suffering and disconnection.  If you or a young adult in your life is looking for ways to grow spiritually, give meaningfully, and experience authentic community, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

To connect as a young adult or serve young adults with us, please contact me at yam@holyfamily.org or 626-403-6149.  To financially support Trinity’s efforts, please visit the Holy Family Online Giving page at www.holyfamily.org.  Your time, talent, and treasure are very needed and appreciated!  Please keep us in prayer as we listen to the Spirit’s invitations to accompany young adults today.  We continue to keep the entire Holy Family community in ours.

Christ’s peace,
