to do an undesirable
task. Many times we
don?t immediately com-
ply. Why not? Why do
we hesitate? Why do we
look for a way to avoid or
delay, even though we
know in our heart of
hearts this that God has
instructed us to do his
work? Sometimes it is
an unpleasant task ?
something that takes us away from our comfort zone. Sometimes it is self
-doubt that keeps us from doing what He wants us to do ? afraid that
perhaps we are not capable. Joseph?s willingness to do as the angel
commanded is an inspiration for us to do God?s work willingly, and without
question, or delay. God through the angel told Joseph, 'do not be
afraid?¯ These are words unspoken that always precede God?s word when
He asks us to do His work.
Prayer
Lord, when you call upon me, let me answer you and serve you with an ea-
ger and humble heart, no matter what it is You ask of me. I will trust that it
is Your will, and I will not be afraid.
