prove himself; He just lovingly answered,“look what I am doing.”He
said,“I am healing the lame, the blind can see, the lepers are clean, and
I am proclaiming the good news.” He told them to see for themselves
the proof that He was the true Savior. Jesus added,“Blessed is the one
who takes no offense at me.”We have many blessings in our lives that
validate Jesus’ love for us. How many“miracles”do you experience
each day in your life? When we are questioning or doubting our faith
we could relate to John’s questioning as well. This reading helps us re-
alize our humanity and to help us keep our faith. We all have to re-
member that it’s normal to question but to realize we are loved by
God and realize that we don’t have all the answers and it is ok!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of John the Baptist who an-
nounced the arrival of our Messiah, Jesus.Thank you for loving us
and for the miracles in our lives
that you send us each day. We pray
for grace and the strength to find
the answers at times when we ques-
tion and
doubt our faith. Amen.
