me. John the Baptist's simple statement, "Behold the lamb of God" which may
have happened on the spur of a moment fell on ears which were ripe for an invi-
tation by the Messiah. How often does my busyness cloud my ability to perceive
the call?
As I begin this year I want to focus on pausing, not just on January 1st but each
and every day, for I believe there is a call waiting to be answered each day be-
cause Jesus constantly is asking and that is never happenstance.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your constant invitation and placing
so many guides to help me along the way. Help me God, to-
day to hear your voice and harden not my heart. Help me to
recognize the Andrew's and John the Baptists in our world
and guide me that I may also reflect their yearning to follow
you Oh Lord. Guide our parish community through this com-
ing year and help us all to be there for one another.
