August, 2022

Dear Holy Family Parishioners,

We are blessed to have so many wonderful young people and their families in our parish.

As I reflect on our Confirmation candidates, this amazing group of teens continues to surprise me.  They were engaged in liturgical ministry and enjoyed in-person retreats this year.

These candidates have demonstrated a desire to know more.  I have seen teens help and guide other teens throughout the confirmation process. Each month they participate in providing the food to cook, and prepare for the Union Station Adult Center.  They have generously volunteered their time to help with parish activities, such as running the Hungry, Hungry Hippo game in the hall for the Welcome Home celebration and being in character as saints on All Saints Day for the younger religious education faith formation session.

As we plan this year and our current second year confirmation group prepare for their Confirmation, we ask you to join Holy Family’s discipleship team in praying that our teens become Missionary Disciples, who follow Jesus Christ to share the Good News with family and neighbor building the Kingdom of God.  We pray they have a personal relationship with God grounded in prayer.

What we are looking forward to!

  • Our Teen Leadership team is planning Youth Ministry activities. This expanding ministry is looking to include service, discuss social justice topics, hear from various speakers, and of course, have some fun!
  • The CrossWalk Middle School Ministry is growing with monthly family faith formation meetings connecting our families with one another both socially and through their faith. Scan the QR Code for registration and details on the monthly service projects.
  • Confirmation registration for 2024 is open, and we look forward to meeting each family in August. We will have several Confirmation information sessions for parents and teens to meet our team. Please see for details and to register online.
  • Volunteers are always sought. Anyone who loves working with teens, please speak to me, as there are many ways to assist with our programs, from being a small group leader, to a head usher guiding our teens, coordinating snacks or going on retreat.

Looking forward to the upcoming year, we realize how much these teens have missed over the past two years.  Please keep the candidates and those working with our children in your prayers as this will be an important year for everyone.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 603-403-6148 or

Our prayers are with each of you this summer.
